How to Modify A Hosting Account Quota In WHM?
Modifying a hosting account quota in WHM (Web Host Manager) involves adjusting the disk space allocation for a specific cPanel account. Here are the steps to do this:
- Log in to WHM:
- Access WHM using your web browser by navigating to
https://your-server-ip:2087
(replace “your-server-ip” with the actual IP address of your server). - Enter your WHM username and password to log in.
- Access WHM using your web browser by navigating to
- Navigate to Account Functions:
- In the WHM dashboard, locate and click on “Account Functions” or use the search bar to find it.
- Access Quota Modification:
- Within “Account Functions,” look for and click on “Quota Modification” or “Modify an Account.”
- Select the Domain or Username:
- Choose the cPanel account for which you want to modify the quota. You can either search for the domain or select it from the list.
- Adjust Quota Limits:
- Find the section related to quota modification for the selected account.
- Adjust the values for “Disk Quota” and “Monthly Bandwidth Transfer” as needed. Enter the new disk space limit in megabytes (MB).
- Save Changes:
- Once you have set the new quota limits, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Click the “Save” or “Save Changes” button to apply the modifications.
- Confirm Changes:
- WHM will display a confirmation message indicating that the changes were saved successfully.
- Check cPanel:
- Log in to the cPanel account associated with the modified quota to verify that the changes have taken effect.
